Upcoming Movies Worth Checking Out

  •  DJANGO UNCHAINED
My Thoughts : Tarantino is back and is stepping into the western genre. I personally can not wait for this film. Like many others I'm sure Tarantino is one of my all time favorite directors.  He has not missed with me yet, and from the looks of this trailer he still hasn't. Finally we get to see  Leonardo Dicaprio playing a charismatic villain. Its a role I've wanted to se him play for a while. I expect Tarintino to provide a great script, great pacing,an epic yet at the same time real feeling story, and as always he should make sure we get great performances from great actors. By the way it was rumored Will Smith turned down the role of Django, post a comment on who you would have rather seen play the role Jaime or Will?

  • THE WATCH

My Thoughts: We've got Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, and England's actor Richard Ayoade all hunting Aliens in leather jackets with tigers on the back, what else can you ask for? I personally think this has the potential to be the comedy of the summer. At first I thought this was just another quick through together comedy with big name actors. But it was written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. The same guys that brought us Super Bad, Pineapple Express, Goon, and the Green Hornet. So if you like their type of comedy I'd say based of the trailer it's worth seeing. What's your favorite Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg have written?
  • MOONRISE KINGDOM

My Thoughts: If your a Wes Anderson film fan then it looks like you won't be disappointed with his newest film Moonrise Kingdom. I personally love Wes Anderson's story telling and his usage of colors I believe is like no other directors in hollywood. As always we see the familiar faces like usual Bill Murray and Jason Schwartzman. But there also some new faces most notably Edward Norton, Bruce Willis, Tilda Swinton, and Harvey Keitel. All great actors/actresses but can Wes bring them to heights?
  • BRAVE

My Thoughts: Last off we have Brave. We all know Pixar paved the way for CGI animation with all of their classics and is still setting the bar. Although after getting just "okay" reviews with their last film Cars 2, how will they respond with their newest film Brave? I personally don't blame them for Cars 2 out of the films it was the easiest and probably most profitable sequel available. For the children audience it achieved its goal. Though the older generation grew to expect just a bit more from pixar. I feel this one though has a ton of potential and will probably pass Madagascar 3 for animated film of the year. For opening in just a little over a week though there hasn't been much advertisement for this one. So let me know do you think Pixar will deliver with Brave?
